Earlier this year, we completed the offices for All for Health and Health for All, a non-profit healthcare organization in Glendale, CA!

Our design transforms 4,000 sqft of existing space into a sophisticated care environment that balances aesthetic refinement with functional needs. Patterns’ approach creates a humble yet refined atmosphere that uplifts the experience of medical staff, patients, and guests. The space conveys a clear sense of purity, combining transparency, translucency, and contrast. The reception area blends comfort with sleek design, thoughtfully transitioning patients from being welcomed to feeling cared for.

We’re honored that Victory Wellness Center has b

We’re honored that Victory Wellness Center has been longlisted for the Dezeen Awards 2024! This project revitalizes a bowstring truss structure into a wellness facility in Los Angeles, CA. From 17,000 to 42,000 sq ft, we’ve added a new basement, a mezzanine, and 12,000 sq ft of landscaped space. Located on Victory Boulevard, the center enhances community life with vital health services and green spaces.

Victory Wellness Center is PATTERNS’ largest completed project to date and our first comprehensive adaptive-reuse design. The project’s sustainably transforms a ubiquitous Southern California resource and is anchored by vibrant courtyards that invigorate the community around it with a new pedestrian-scale outdoor space.

We are very excited to be working in collaboration

We are very excited to be working in collaboration with @baarqs.architecture on an on-going project in the city of Rosario, Argentina!

Our proposal for Centro Cuidar is the continuation of the program established by the city of Rosario, to create community centers in marginalized neighborhoods consisting of educational and social support programs. Specifically, this project serves as a pilot and prototype for a revitalization of the program, seeking to suggest through its architecture, a new typology that provides amenity and public identity.

Wonderwall aims to produce three distinct yet full

Wonderwall aims to produce three distinct yet fully integrated elements into one singular space, the true contemporary western gateway for Sunset Strip.

The remarkable qualities of the new landmark sign, its cascading waterfall aspect is made clear with the four-part steps, redirected to face Sunset Blvd and away from buildings, creates a perfect backdrop and an almost theatrical experience of leaving West Hollywood.

The Linear Promenade integrates a new sidewalk-park and art boardwalk along Sunset Strip, is a calm, linear promenade scattered with seating areas, trees with abundant shadow, native vegetation and a public art walkway featuring local artists.

Finally, the Cascading Garden acts as an airborne wonder full of succulents and other native plants that creates an aspiration, a sense of desire and also an actual visual amenity for neighbors of nearby buildings. It also reminds us that the world is much more than our human presence.

This year, Patterns is excited to celebrate its 20-year anniversary and we are commemorating this important milestone by launching our new office identity and many surprises coming ahead!

We bring a critical and progressive approach to projects across scales, agendas, and geographies, insisting on the cultural and social relevance of architectural form, aesthetics and impact in the contemporary city. Committed to a speculative platform, we are interested in producing within an increasingly global design culture and practicing world. As we move forward developing projects and office culture, we wanted to take the opportunity to announce our new website launching very soon!

Thanks to all the supporters and collaborators that we have encountered during these 20 years of work, we look forward to much ahead in the coming years!

Wonderwall, is our recently awarded gateway projec

Wonderwall, is our recently awarded gateway project on the historic Sunset Strip! Our proposal aims to create a true gateway by combining two ambitions:

First, creating a new landmark that dramatically celebrates the beginning and culmination of West Hollywood by expressing a prominent architectural corner with an alluring digital waterfall. An articulate cascade of media, art, and advertisement leads to a roof garden which becomes an aerial wonder, an visual and sustainable amenity for the neighboring buildings. Secondly, by creating a new sidewalk park along the Sunset strip, a calm linear promenade of urban delights, scattered with seating areas, native vegetation, and a public art walkway unveiling seasonal exhibitions featuring local artists.

What results is a new urban destination at the intersection of culture and retail, media and art, landscape and architecture, a true gateway articulating a unique transition between the civic monumental scale of a West Hollywood landmark and a more intimate scale of the human body!

Temporary Space LA, a gallery that proposes an alt

Temporary Space LA, a gallery that proposes an alternative to conventional standards of exhibiting artists works, aims to emulate a form of micro urbanity inside the art gallery.

Upon entering the space, visitors will be confronted with a user-friendly more akin to a public realm feeling than to a traditional art gallery. Our strategy produces attractive and intricate spaces out of existing anomalies such as columns placed in weird positions being purposely eaten away by walls and masses to clean the interior and give it spatial meaning. As a result, we imagine the large abstract and figurative paintings by Richard Shelton will not only be viewed as autonomous objects but as possible and ever-changing articulations of larger architectural constructs.

Happy to unveil our ongoing project for Mykonos Public Promenade, this proposed redevelopment aims to functionally revitalize the thoroughfare while taking aesthetic and tectonic cues from its storied context. The correction of a series of existing bottlenecks, hidden landmarks, and areas lacking shade and other amenities is our departure point. However, the intervention then seeks to capitalize on the latent potential for views, cultural demonstration, and unification of experience by creating a new sequence of moments for pedestrians to pause and discover the beauty of the island.

The vertical apartment building is maybe the most intellectually underestimated architectural program in Argentina, an uncanny combination of both economical speculations driven by private developers and construction companies, and the constraints of an over subdivided urban grid that provides very narrow plots for actual interventions. A major percentage of the city has been and continues to be built according to this typology that celebrates homogeneity and monotony.
